Seminar: “The European Union’s Cohesion Policy in Hungary”

Within the framework of the scholar exchange program between the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Hungarian Academy of Social Sciences, on the morning of May 8, 2019, at Institution for European Study, took place the second scientific seminar of Dr. Adam Kereyni from the World Economic Institute of the Academy of Social Sciences of Hungary with the presentation: " The European Union’s Cohesion Policy in Hungary ". Through the presentation of Dr. Adam Kereyni, it can be seen that Hungary is the second most benefited country from regional policy in the European Union. Since 2004, the EU has focused on investing in Hungary so that the country has the same development and income as the EU common indicators. Currently the development gap between Hungary and more developed EU countries has decreased. However, the development gap inthe own country has beenslow to narrow because of weaknesses in EU policies andother issues of the nation.

This is a really interesting and useful seminar for researchers on EU policies in general and Hungary in particular. Dr. Adam Kereyni's work program at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences is from May 3rd to May 10th, 2019, scientists who are interested in Hungarian mattersare welcome to go to the scholar's room at 10th floor of Building B of Vietnam Academy for Social Sciences to meet and exchange./.
